WATERLOO — Thomas Jay “Tom” Lichty, 58, of Waterloo, died Monday, July 15, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 6, 1955, in Waterloo, son of H.J. and Donnalee Fisk Lichty. He married Christy Parizek on March 23, 1985, at Community Church, Hudson.

Mr. Lichty graduated from Central High School in 1973, then was engaged in farming in Orange Township, retiring in 2010.

Survived by his wife; three daughters, Jenny of Ames and Ashly and Amy, both of Waterloo; his mother; three sisters, Jann (Gene) Martens of Onalaska, Wis., Jeane (Frank) Diehl of Waterloo and Karen (Don) Stenzel of Wells, Minn.

There will be no services, as his body was cremated at his request. Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
