Services for Viola L. Webber, 84, of 1622 Mt. Carmel Drive, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. She died Saturday at Allen Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Webber was born Oct. 22, 1900, in Butler County, the daughter of George and Lillie May Winchell Finhey. She married Harry J. Webber on April 25, 1927, in Albert Lea, Minn. He died in July 1973.
She worked at Rath Packing Co. for 10 years. She also owned and operated a grocery store and various taverns in Waterloo with her husband and was known as "Ma" Webber.
Survivors include a son, John LaRue of Dixon, Ill.; a daughter, Mabel Lewis of 1622 Mt. Carmel Drive; a brother, Robert Finney of Haines City, Fla.; a stepbrother, Howard Clark of 1628 Mt. Carmel Drive; a sister, Velma Wilson of 918 E. Ninth St.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, George LaRue, in 1980.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Kearns-Dykeman Chapel. There will be a rosary service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to SAC'S on 7th.
