Services for Ernest George Wason, 74, of 1918 Sager Ave., will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Parrott and Wood Funeral Home. Mr. Wason died at his home Thursday.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Saturday.

Services for Ernest George Wason, 74, of 1718 Sager Ave., will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Parrott and Wood Funeral Home, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Sunday until service time.

He died Thursday at his home. He was born March 14, 1905, in New Lennox, Ill., the son of Albert and Nellie Oram Wason.

He married Ilda Marcene Rigdon on Aug. 7, 1926, in Waterloo. She died in 1970. He then married Ruth Hansen on July 31, 1977, in Hudson.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Craig of 327 Sheridan Road and Robert of 722 W. Second St.; two daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Holmes of Hudson and Mrs. Reta Roederer of Tampa, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four stepchildren; and nine stepgrandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the Iowa Society for the Prevention of Blindness.
