DEATH OF MRS. G. W. BARNES.

At 3 o'clock this morning, Mrs. George W. Barnes died after a lingering illness, of necrosis of the bones, or bone cancer, aged about 42 years.

The maiden name of deceased was Emma* A. Kay, and she was born in Ohio. In June, 1868, she was married to Mr. Barnes and came here in 1869. Since 1879 she has been an invalid, but has borne her sufferings with rare fortitude.

She leaves a husband and four children, three girls and one boy. Her father and one sister. Mrs. C. W. Cameron, are living at Cedar Falls.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow from the late residence of deceased, at 1 p.m. and the burial will take place at Cedar Falls.
