Marian Mae Meinberg was born August 18, 1921 in Franklin County, Iowa, the daughter of Dick and Grace (Meyer) Swieter. She attended Grant Center Country school. Marian was a wonderful wife, mother, homemaker, grandmother, and great grandmother.

On September 23, 1939, Marian was united in marriage to Harold Conrad Meinberg at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. During special gospel meetings at Hampton, Iowa, Marian accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour on November 19, 1941, while reading John 5:24 "He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life". She faithfully gathered with the Christians who met at the Hampton Gospel Hall for many years, then at the Cedar Falls Gospel Hall after moving to Mallard Point, a retirement center, in 2004.

Marian passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord at the Grundy Care Center in Grundy Center, Iowa, on October 15, 2010, surrounded by her family.

Survived by two daughters, Linda and her husband Ken Alberts of Rochelle, Illinois and Marlys Osman of Grundy Center; five grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren, Troy (Sue) Alberts and; Brandon, Joshua, Tyler and Haeley of Omaha, Nebraska, Trev (Angela) Alberts and Chase, Ashtynne and Breanna of Omaha, Nebraska, Tami (Dennis) Palmer and Mason, Taylor, Sierra, Caden and Teagan of Garnavillo, Iowa, David (Anita) Osman and Elisabeth and Conrad of Ackley, Iowa, and Deborah (Travis) Brekunitch and Harold and Ella of Grundy Center, Iowa; a brother, Robert (Shirley) Swieter, of Clarion, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Barbara Swieter, of Hampton, Iowa, and many, many nieces and nephews.

Marian was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 1999, an infant son, Gary Lee, a grandson, Todd Alberts, her parents, and brothers, John and wife Agnes, Harvey, Kenneth and wife Bonnie, Carl and wife Betty.

The family is appreciative of the many acts of kindness shown to them at this time. You are invited to a time of fellowship and lunch at the Gospel Hall before the interment at St. Peter Cemetery at Geneva, Iowa.

Services will be 10:30 am Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at the Cedar Falls Gospel Hall, with interment at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter Cemetery, Geneva, Iowa. Visitation will be from 4 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and for one hour before service time at the Gospel Hall on Wednesday.
