Nick Veld, 82, died of complications incident to advanced age at 7 a. m. Monday at the Woodlawn Convalescent Home.

The son of Everett and Tyrnte Veld, he was born Dec. 1, 1870, at South Holland, Ill. He farmed near South Holland, coming to Waterloo in May, 1953, to make his home with his niece, Mrs. Willis Rowenhorst, La Porte Road.

Surviving are his neice, Mrs. Rowenhorst, and a nephew, Edward Veld of Sanborn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, three sisters and one brother.

The body is at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home, where funeral arrangements are pending.

The body of Nick Veld, 82, who died Monday of complications incident to advanced age, will be taken Tuesday night from Parrott & Wood Funeral Home to South Holland, Ill., where services will be Thursday.
