Freeman Charles Decker Sr., 76, of 1908 Black Hawk St., died of complications incident to advanced age at 8:30 a.m. Monday at his home.

He was born May 24, 1877, at Cedar City, and had made his home most of his life in Waterloo. On Aug. 9, 1905, he married Sadie Hurd. He had been employed as a teamster.

Surviving are one son, Freeman Charles Jr., 321 Glendale St. and three daughters: Mrs. John Buchan of Charles City; Mrs. Joseph Heinick of Janesville, and Mrs. John Dalton, 1713 Black Hawk St.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The body is at Kearns-Dykeman Chapel, where funeral arrangements are pending.

Funeral services for Freeman Decker, Sr., 82, who died Monday, will be Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Kearns-Dykeman Chapel. The Rev. G. M. Vriezelaar, pastor of the Church of the Open Bible, will officiate, and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
