CEDAR FALLS — Joanne E. Adams, 81, of Cedar Falls, died at home Monday, July 8, 2013.

She was born May 23, 1932, in Decorah, daughter of John and Edna Gavle Finholt. She married Charles L. Adams on May 14, 1953, in Waverly. He died May 27, 2010.

Mrs. Adams graduated from Decorah High School and Marshalltown Cosmetology School. She was employed as a cosmetologist.

Survived by two sons, Doug of Ankeny and David (Shelly) of Clear Lake; a daughter, Denise (Curt) Braby of Morning Sun; and five grandchildren, Kale and Kassidi Braby and Ozzie, Brock and McGwire Adams.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, preceded by an hour of visitation, with inurnment in Fairview Cemetery.

Memorial fund will be established.
