CEDAR FALLS - Ellen Olive Bjorklund, 99, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.

She was born May 12, 1907, daughter of Victor and Hulda Johnson Larson. She married Rudolph C. Bjorklund on Sept. 23, 1925, in Harcourt. He died in 1988.

Mrs. Bjorklund was employed by the University of Northern Iowa for 36 years, retiring in 1972.

Survivors include two daughters, Loretta (Bruce) Youngberg of Cedar Falls and Lorraine (Donald) Doty of Tulsa, Okla.; a son, Lorimer (Marilyn) of St. Cloud, Minn.; 10 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by an infant son, Vernon; three brothers, Chester, Richard and Martin Larson; and seven sisters, Minnie Samuelson, Daisy Lindstrom, Gertrude Peterson, Ethel Murphy, Delia Peterson and Rena Giddings.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Public visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home, and for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Battered Women's Shelter.
