Servicea are tentatively are set for late next week for Joseph "Roy" Lanigan, 73, of Bartels Lutheran Home, Waverly, and formerly of Waterloo. He died Wednesday night at Veterans Hospital in Iowa City.

Mr. Lanigan was born Feb. 22, 1908, at Hudson, son of Thomas and Pauline Koester Lanigan. He was a World War II veteran. He was a railroad postal clerk, retiring in 1965.

Survivors include a brother, Robert Lanigan of rural Fairbank; and a sister, Deloras Lanigan.

Oppold Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Services for Joseph "Roy" Lanigan, 74, of Bartets Lutheran Home, Waverly, and formerly of Waterloo, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery.

He died last Wednesday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Iowa City. Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Oppold Funeral Home where friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday.

Mr. Lanigan was born Feb. 22, 1908, in Dunkerton, son of Thomas and Pauline Koester. He was employed as a railroad postal clerk, retiring in 1965. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include a brother, Robert of rural Fairbank; and a sister, Dolores Lanigan of Waveriy.
