FOREMER RESIDENT WILL BE BURIED AT CEDAR FALLS

Funeral of Mrs. Alonzo G. Thompson at First Congregational Thursday.

Cedar Falls. June 1.—The body of Mrs. Harriet Thompson, widow of Alonzo G. Thompson, who was for many years engaged in the hardware business here and prominent in other business affairs of Cedar Falls, will arrive Thursday morning from Three Rivers, Mich., where she died at the home of her son. Harry K. Thompson, Monday, at the age of 78.

Services will be at First Congregational Church Thursday afternoon. Interment will be in Fairview beside her husband and two daughters. The girls were accidentally drowned in the Cedar River while attending a picnic in 1891.

During her long residence in Cedar Falls. Mrs. Thompson was active in the affairs of the local Congregational Church, in which she retained her membership after leaving here. She also was active in W. C. T. U. and Parlor Reading circle for many years.

Mrs. Thompson left Cedar Falls in 1913 and had since made her home with her son at Three Rivers.

Several years ago she lost her vision, but in spite of the handicap she maintained interest in affairs of the day and in her friends in Cedar Falls.

Her husband, Alonzo's obit says he married Harriet Huntington in June 1867
