WELTZIN, BRITZMAN, NOLTING, SOMMERFELT, ARMSTRONG

Services for Harry J. Weltzin, 81, of 653 Hope St.. formerly of Denver, will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mr. Weltzin died at 7:25 p.m. Thursday at Allen Memorial Hospital.

He was born Jan. 19, 1901, in Black Hawk County, son of Charles W. and Louise Britzman Weltzin. He married Amanda S. Nolting Oct. 9, 1924, in Bennington Township. He farmed in the Denver area, retiring in 1964. He then worked as a maintenance man at the YWCA for about 10 years.

Survivors include his wife; and two sisters, Amelia Sommerfelt of Tripoli and Louise Armstrong of Tempe. Ariz.

Friends may call at Garden View Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to noon Monday. Visitation at the church will be for an hour before services.
