WATERLOO - Michael Allen Locke, 30, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born May 29, 1976, in Waterloo, son of William E. and Melody A. Rogers Locke. He married Jennifer M. Mitchell Sept. 13, 1997, in La Porte City.

He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1995. He had been employed with Rentown, Black Hawk County Conservation Board, part owner of Locke's Lawn Service, Locke Remodeling, Martin Bros. Distributing, Wessels Trucking, Benton's Sand and Gravel, and most recently was an equipment operator with Aspro.

Survived by his wife; a daughter, Megan Tyler and son, Nicholas Michael, both at home; his parents of Cedar Falls; a sister, Heather (Kendall) Kane of Waterloo; a brother, Tim of Cedar Falls; paternal grandparents, Vernon and Marilyn Locke of Evansdale; maternal grandmother, Betty Rogers of Des Moines; and paternal great-grandfather, Earl Smith of Evansdale.

Preceded in death by his grandfather, William Rogers.

Services: 10 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, with burial in Hillside Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Richardson Funeral Home, Cedar Falls, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.
