WATERLOO - Maxine F. Colvin, 84, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, at the Good Samaritan Home, West Union.

She was born Dec. 28, 1918, in Dysart, son of George and Ruth Storey McFarland. She married Acie Colvin on Dec. 31, 1936, in Waterloo. He died July 14, 1992.

Mrs. Colvin was employed at Rath Packing Co. in the dry sausage line for 43 years, retiring in 1983.

Survived by a son, David [Madeline] of Waterloo; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: a daughter in infancy, Joyce; three brothers, Dean, Robert and Joseph McFarland; and a sister, Dorothy Blitch.

Services: 10 a.m. Monday at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today and for an hour before service time Monday at the funeral home. Please note change of visitation time.
