PERRY, COUCH, ACKERMAN, WRIGHT

De Witt C. Perry, age 73; retired farmer, died early Sunday morning at his home, 122 Cottage Grove Avenue. He had been sick six months from cancer.

Mr. Perry was born Oct. 16, 1849, in Cortland county. N. Y. He was married to Miss Lettle E. Couch, Aug. 1, 1877. The couple came west in 1887 and settled upon a farm near Dyeart. Later they removed to a farm in Poyner Township, this county. Fifteen years ago they retired from the farm and made their home in Waterloo.

Surviving are the widow and three children, Judson D. Perry, on a farm in Black Hawk county: Mrs. Adel Ackerman, Waterloo, and Mrs. Mary Wright, Los Angeles, Cal.

Mrs. Wright arrlved here a week ago, summoned by the critical illness of her father. Four children preceded him in death. One brother, a sister and six grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 12:30 p. m. at the home and at 1 p. m. in Linden M. B. church, of which decedent was a member and official. Rev. C. W. Harrop will officiate and burial will be in Raymond Cemetery. Friends may view the remains at the Hileman & Gindt undertaking parlors.
