EVANSDAKE - Delmar R. Johnson, 68, of Evansdale, died Thursday, November 28, 1996, at Veterans Hospital, Iowa City, of cancer.

He was born August 29, 1928, in Pocahontas County, son of Hooker A. and Ann Augusta Sparrow Johnson. He was a heavy equipment operator and was a U. S. Navy veteran.

Survived by a sister, Mavis.

Services 10 a.m. Thursday at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home, with burial in Garden of Memories, both in Waterloo. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
