WATERLOO - Margaret M. Dutton, 89, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehab Center of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 14, 1918, in Alden, daughter of Ben L. and Jessie Theresa Hensing Dutton. After graduating from high school, she entered the Sisters of Mercy and was a registered nurse for 35 years. Upon her return to Waterloo she was employed as a registered nurse at Ravenwood Health Care Center and Allen Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1983. After her retirement she volunteered as a seamstress at the Ravenwood Health Care Center and also RSVP in Waterloo.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews, including Mary Dutton-Talaski of Tinley Park, Ill., and Margaret Ruebe of Oaklawn, Ill.; and three special friends, Muriel Galloway of Evansdale, Viola Zeran of Waterloo and Sister Clara Mae Kuempal of Guttenberg.

Preceded in death by four brothers: LeRoy, Joseph, Charles and Jesse "Frank" Dutton; and two sisters, Lucille Caldon and Sister Mary Joachim RSM.

There will be no services or visitation, her body was donated to the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Services in Des Moines. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials: may be directed to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
