WATERLOO, Iowa - Lois M. Rankin, 89, of Ravenwood, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 22, 1923, in Havelock, daughter of Leland J. and Mina Reese Rankin. She married Arthur L. Burns on Feb. 16, 1943, in Waterloo, and they later divorced.

Survived by two sons, Scott J. (Vicki) Burns of Cedar Falls and Terry (Carolyn) Burns of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Nancy (Bill) West of Cedar Falls; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lucille Ortman of Yuma, Ariz.

Preceded in death by a son, Patrick.

Family services: were held today at Hagarty-Waychofff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery, Havelock, at a later date.
