WATERLOO — Hunter T. Burchard, 23, of Waterloo, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, from complications of a head injury due to a motorcycle accident.

He was born Aug. 9, 1989, in Waterloo, son of Laurie Luck and Carl Burchard.

He graduated from East High School in 2008. He worked in construction, most recently with Mehmen Siding.

Survived by his mother: Laurie (John Lyden) Luck of Dysart; his father, Carl L. (Anita) Burchard Sr. of Tama; his stepfather, Daniel Sanderson of Waterloo; four brothers: Harley Luck of Cedar Falls, Lucas Luck of Waterloo, Carl L. Burchard Jr. of Evansdale and Rick Burchard of Tama; five sisters, Nikki (Dan) Rolf, Tara (Adam) Macomber and Lacey Burchard, all of Waterloo, Brandy Burchard of Des Moines and Brittney Burchard of Tama; paternal grandfather, Earl (Mary Lou) Burchard of Newark, Ohio; paternal grandmother, Betty Burchard of Newark; stepgrandfather, Dan (Janice) Vodochodsky of Tama; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends.

Preceded in death by a sister, Haley J. Luck; maternal grandparents, Harley and Dorothy Luck; and his aunt, Bonnie Hayes.

Services: 3 p.m. Friday at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo, followed by a potluck at Lofty’s in Evansdale. Burial will be Saturday in Rosehill Cemetery, Marshalltown. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
