WATERLOO - Donald Omer Sullivan, 93, of River Falls, Wis., formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, at his daughter's home of natural causes.

He was born Nov. 18, 1914, in Kent, Minn., son of Frank and Margaret Elgas Sullivan. He married Ruth Bernice Miller July 25, 1949, in New Haven. She died Aug. 29, 2006.

Mr. Sullivan was employed as a skilled laborer for John Deere Tractor Mfg. Co. for more than 31 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the South Pacific.

Survived by three sons: Richard of Iowa City, Mark (Michele) of The Colony, Texas, and Kevin (Jill) of Carrollton, Texas; a daughter, Betty (Phil) Lamb of River Falls, Wis.; 10 grandchildren: Maria Lamb, Katie Lamb, Brandon Weekly, Angela Lamb, Luke Sullivan, Jacob Sullivan, Michael Lamb, Matthew Sullivan, Ashlynn Sullivan and Hayden Sullivan; three brothers, James (Ann) of Cedar Rapids, Gerald (Patricia) of Paradise, Calif., and Marc (Lynette) of Peyton, Colo.; three sisters: Marguerite Miller of Osage, Donna Wagner of Pleasant Hill and Mary Ann (Jim) Fabricius of Dubuque; and a sister-in-law, Marion Sullivan of Cedar Rapids.

Preceded in death by his wife; three brothers: Tom, George and John; two sisters, Marcella (Arthur) Harwick and Bernardene (Milton) Trout; two brothers-in-law, Maurice Miller and Leonard Wagner; and a sister-in-law, Annabelle Sullivan

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 138 and VFW Post 1623. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
