Mrs. Mary W. Forbes, 62, of 1212 Jefferson St., died at 12:35 a.m. Wednesday of acute Lukemia at St. Francis Hospital.

Services are planned for Monday at Chapel of Memories West, where friends may call after 6 p.m. Friday.

She was born Mary Abeln on March 3, 1908, in Emsley, S.D., the daughter of John and Anna Groz Abeln. She was married to Lemuel Forbes at Mitchell, S.D., on Oct. 26, 1929. They moved to Waterloo in 1947. Mrs. Forbes was employed by Unique Cleaners.

She is survived by three sons: Willard of 533 Marshall Ave., Evansdale; Peryle of 105 Greenwood Ave., John of 815 W. 1st St;, Cedar Falls; one daughter, Mrs. Richard Sturch of 1560 Independence, Ave.; and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son and several brothers and sisters.
