CEDAR FALLS — Fern L. Baker, 68, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, May 27, 2013, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

She was born Oct. 23, 1944, in Waterloo, daughter of Israel J. and Alice M. Bishop Cole. She married Kenneth Baker on June 16, 1962, in Concordia Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

She graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1962 and worked in retail sales with J.C. Penney, Waterloo.

Survived by her husband; a daughter, Tina (Paul) Rudebeck of Buckingham; a son, Scott (Sheila) of Des Moines; four grandchildren; a sister, Diane Haring of Belle Plaine; and a brother, Gary Cole of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a brother, Donald Willhite.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Service, preceded by an hour of visitation.

Memorials may be directed to the family or the American Lung Cancer Association.
