Linda Sue Beck, 44, of Dike, died Saturday, September 8, 2007, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, following a brave fight against leukemia.

Linda was born January 9, 1963 in Greenville, South Carolina, to Neil and Betty (Jones) Beck.

She attended schools in Cedar Falls and Dike, and graduated from Dike High School in 1981. Linda attended Hawkeye Tech for nurse's aide training, and later graduated from Hawkeye Tech as an LPN. She worked as a home health nurse for sick children, something she excelled at and truly loved.

In 1982 she married Dwayne Frickson; they later divorced. They had two sons, Wayne and Mark. She married Ron Nunnally on September 8, 1990. Although their marriage ended in divorce, they remained a loving family in raising their daughter, Trisha.

She enjoyed collecting angel figurines, going to garage sales, and spending time with her family. She adored her granddaughter, Aurora. She lived and loved life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by those blessed to have known her.

Linda is survived by her children, Wayne (Shanna) Frickson, of Vinton, Mark (Kristen) Frickson, and their daughter, Aurora, 2, of Marion, and Trisha Nunnally of Dike; her brother, Bob (Erika) Beck of Powder Springs, Georgia; her sister, Christine (Robin) Sturgeon of Danbury; three nephews, seven nieces, and one grand-nephew.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Monte, her uncles, Dan Jones and Jim Jones, and her grandparents, Nels and Gladys Beck and William and Doris Jones.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 14, at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Dike, followed by burial in Grandview Cemetery in Fayette. Public visitation will be Thursday at 3 to 8 p.m. the Richardson Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, with family present 4 to 7 p.m. Visitation will also be an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
