WATERLOO—James Arthur "Jim" Conrad, 57, of Waterloo, died Sunday March 6, 2005, at Covenant Medical Center emergency room.

He was born June 10, 1947, in Waterloo, son of Wendell R. "Chubby" and Leonore "Lee" Jensen Conrad. He was a 1966 graduate of Waterloo West High School He had been employed as a disc jockey at a Fort Dodge radio station and was a disc jockey and program director at a Dallas, Texas, radio station. Jim's love for music and people was displayed as a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church Senior Choir and as a soloist He also enjoyed his time spent with the Proud Image chorus. He enjoyed his short-wave radio friends and their annual get-together. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his mother of Waterloo; an aunt, Nancy (Marv) Davis of Boulder City; Nev; and cousins, Lori Otto of Cedar Falls, Barbara Tucker of Marion, Ark., and Franklin Conrad of Central City

Preceded in death by his father.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Parrot & Wood Chapel of Memories, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
