Duane A. Thomas, 75, of Cedar Falls, Iowa died Monday, December 8, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

He was born February 10, 1933, in Greene, Iowa the son of Lloyd C. and Marlys M. (Kingery) Thomas. He graduated from Cedar Falls High School.

On June 15, 1952, Duane married Billie Shinn at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He served in the United States Navy, and had been employed as a machinist with John Deere-PEC. He was a member of the Cedar Falls AMVETS Post #49, VFW, Fraternal Order of the Eagle, and the Cedar Falls American Legion Post #236.

Duane is survived by his wife, Billie of Cedar Falls; two sons, Mike (Lori) Thomas of Mankato, Minnesota, and Craig (Tim Graham) Thomas of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Kathy Fuller of Cedar Falls; a grandson, Ben Fuller of Cedar Falls; and a brother, Clayton (Bonnie) Thomas of Tucson, Arizona.

Preceding Duane in death were his parents.
