Bob was born January 27, 1923, in Denver, Iowa, the son of Harry and Elsie (Dins) Sagert. He served his Country in the United States Army during World War II. On December 25, 1948, he was united in marriage to Mae Louise Petersen in Mason City, Iowa. She died October 5, 1999.

He was employed at Lockheed in Los Angeles, CA until 1971, at which time he moved back to the area and worked for Shield Bantam in Waverly until retiring due to health concerns in 1973.

Bob is survived by three sons, Jeffrey (Susan) Sagert of Minden, IA, and John and James Sagert, both of Cedar Falls; daughter, Linda Teisinger of Waterloo; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren and brother, Roger (Marlene) Sagert of Cedar Falls.

Bob died Tuesday, June 17, 2003, at ManorCare Heath Systems in Waterloo. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
