Ernest Ambrose Jr., 12, son of Ernest Ambrose, Sr., 325 Clay St. and Mrs. Eliza Ambrose, Durant, Miss., died Sunday at 12:30 p.m. at the state hospital at Woodward, where he had been a patient since September of 1960.

He was moved in 1960 to Woodward from Iowa City, where he had been a patient for a year. He was born in Goodman, Miss., on July 4, 1948, and had resided in Waterloo with his father since 1958.

Surviving are the mother and father and one sister, Mary Ruth of 325 Clay St.; a brother, Oral of Durant, and another brother of Durant.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Rickey Joe, in Waterloo in 1959.

Funeral services will be at the Johnson Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. I. V. Tolbert, pastor of Payne A. M. E. chuch officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The body may be viewed from Friday until service time Saturday.
