Funeral services are pending at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home for Mrs. Eva I. Thompson, 86. who died at 7:40 a. m Monday at the Bohorden Nursing Home of complications of advanced age.

Mrs. Thompson was born July 11, 1874, in Bremer County. the daughter of John, and Jane Trenary Alcock. She was married Nov. 29. 1894, to Reat Thompson in Waverly. The couple farmed near Waverly, then lived in Waterloo, and later in
Buffalo Center and Forest City. Mrs. Thompson returned to Waterloo in 1959, after her husband's death in 1958.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Donald Swan, 216 Hartman Ave.; two sons, Lauren of Lakota, and Vernelle of Minneapolis; one sister, Mrs. Viola Olmstad, 327 Center St.; 14 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and eight sisters.

Friends may call at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
