WATERLOO - Keith C. Fangman, 83, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home of natural causes.

He was born Aug. 5, 1921, in Platte Center, Neb., son of Lee and Loretta Higgins Fangman, and had lived in Waterloo since 1945. He married Marjorie Geraldine Mundell Oct. 20, 1951, at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Waterloo.

Mr. Fangman served as a medic in the U.S. Army during World War II and when he returned to Waterloo he worked at IPS for 37 years as a superintendent of overhead.

He was a member of the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus and St. Edwards Catholic Church. He was a wonderful husband and father and a really good man who could never do enough for his family and friends. We will all miss him.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Marjorie; two daughters, Linda (Larry) Hartle of Forney, Texas, and Renee (Timothy) Moore of Des Moines; five grandchildren, Amber and Austin Moore, Casey and Brittney Hartle and Stacey Hallett; two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Conner Hallett; and three sisters, Cleo Dietsch of Waterloo, Sister Mary Michael of Milwaukee, Wis., and Donna Busby of California.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services: 2:30 p.m. Friday at St. Edward Catholic Church. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice Home, 2001 Kimball Ave., Waterloo 50702, to support them in their mission of loving care and comfort.
