WATERLOO — Kimberly Kay Eide, 50, of Waterloo, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, following a stroke.

She was born Nov. 12, 1962, in Waterloo, daughter of William and Sandra Peverill Eide.

She graduated from Waterloo West High in 1981 and was employed at Swift and Co. for 20 years until her retirement in 2009.

Survived by her father of Waterloo; a sister, Dawn Reeves of Waterloo; two nieces, Tessa and Marley Reeves, both of Waterloo; two great-nieces, Emilee Steimel and Denaya Williams, both of Waterloo; four great-nephews, Dylan and Joel Steimel, Rashaun Burkett, and Javon Reeves, all of Waterloo; and several aunts and cousins.

Preceded by her mother; and a brother, Michael.

Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Episcopal Parish, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. at Locke Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Everyone who knew her adored her and her love for music, like the rock group Kiss. She personally knew Bret Michaels from childhood. She will be missed by her loving cat of 15 years, Sammie.
