Services for Fred L. Widener, 92, of the Western Home, Cedar Falls, and formerly a Waterloo resident, will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Western Home Chapel. The Rev. James B. Bailey, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate, and the Rev. William H. Green, Western Home chaplain, will assist. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mr. Widener died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday at the Western Home of a kidney ailment. Friends may call at the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home until noon tomorrow.

Mr. Widener was born Oct. 24, 1881, in Louisa County, the son of Charles and Rebecca Murry Widener. He married Minnie E. Bartlett on March 11, 1903, in Waterloo.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and worked for 44 years as a wrecking engineer for the Illinois Central Railroad. He was also a member of the Eagles and the Modem Woodman Lodge.

Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Lloyd and William, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Lela Silaker of California, and Mrs. Lottie Seavewy of Burbank, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his pareents, a brother and a sister.
