WATERLOO — Lydia I. “Tootie” Weatherman, 78, of Waterloo, died Friday, May 10, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 28, 1934, in Arena, N.D., son of George and Martha Schwindt Wagner. She married Rodney Weatherman on May 2, 1953. They later divorced.

Mrs. Weatherman graduated from Waterloo’s East High School in 1952. She worked at the Rath Administration Building and then became employed at Covenant Medical Center from 1976 until her retirement. She also worked at Lutheran Social Services for two years and was active in Immanuel Lutheran Women’s Guild.

Survived by two daughters, Renee (Mark) Clark and Rhonda Ochoa of Oregon; two sons, Ross of Waterloo and Ryan of Dallas; seven grandchildren: Breanna (Derek) Johnson, Charles “Chuck” Griffith, Tim Clark, Carl Clark, Nick Ochoa, Henry Ochoa and Malori Greenwood; six great-grandchildren; four sisters: Bernice (Garold) Foulk, Marcella “Sally” (Bill) Foulk, Doris (Charles “Buzz”) Meyer and Barbara Draper; and two brothers, Clarence Wagner and George “Gerry” Wagner.

Preceded in death by her parents and great-grandparents; two sisters, one in infancy and another, Eileen Pieper; a son, Todd, in infancy; two grandchildren in infancy; a sister-in-law, Barbara Wagner; and a brother-in-law, George Draper.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, under the auspices of Immanuel Lutheran Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
