HUDSON — Marlene May Dietz, 76, of Hudson, died Saturday, May 11, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

She was born July 2, 1936, in Nashua, daughter of Oscar Jacob and Lela Grace Forry Biekert. She married Robert Allen Dietz Sr. on June 20, 1954, in Nashua. He died Sept. 15, 2005.

Mrs. Dietz worked at Hooks Grocery Store in Grundy Center, the American Soybean Association in Hudson and Porter’s Camera in Cedar Falls.

Survived by two sons, Allen (Regina) of Hudson and Rick (Carol Hansell) of Ames; a daughter, Darlene (Bob) Taylor of Lexington, Ky.; eight grandchildren; six great-greandchildren; and a brother, David L. (Sheila) Biekert of Longmont, Colo.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in Hudson Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, and also for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Memorials will be designated at a later date.
