WATERLOO — Wanda R. Borgwardt, 91, of Waterloo, died Monday, May 6, 2013, at Waverly Health Center, Waverly, following a short illness.

She was born Feb. 23, 1922, in Worthington, Minn., daughter of Harold and Bessie Baker Caster. She married Hans F. A. Borgwardt on Feb. 23, 1941, in Worthington. He died Nov. 18, 1976.

She and her husband moved to a farm near Waterloo where she had lived since their marriage.

Survived by two sons, Eric (Sharon) of Denver and Paul (Betty Jean) of Parkersburg; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 11 stepgreat-grandchildren; nine stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Don (Lorraine) Caster of Minnetonka, Minn.

Preceded in death by a son, Mark; and a stepgreat-grandson.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at White Funeral Home, Jesup, with burial in Poyner Township Cemetery, rural Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
