[Waterloo Daily Courier, Monday, February 8, 1965, Waterloo, Iowa]

Seven-year-old Nick Allender, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Allender of 3224 Logan Ave., died about 12:20 p. m. Monday at Schoitz Memorial Hospital. The boy had been taken to the hospital at 8:30 a. m. Monday by a fire department inhalator squad after having difficulty in breathing at his home. Arrangements are pending at the Chapel of Memories.

NICK CURTIS ALLENDER

Nick Curtis Allender, 7, of 3224 Logan Ave., died at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Schoita Memorial Hospital of Pneumonia.

He was born January 8, 1958 in Waterloo, the son of Donald and Marlen Moser Allender. He lived here all his life.

Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Kelly and Scott and one sister, Candace, all at home; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Allender of 114 Amity Dr.; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Moser of 131 W. Dale St.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel of Memories with the Rev. David L. Moore, pastor of the Walnut Street Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Orange Township Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Chapel of Memories after 5 p.m. Tuesday.
