WATERLOO - Patricia J. Edmonds, 69, of 3320 Tropic Lane, formerly of Vinton, Cedar Rapids and Waverly, died Saturday, May 13, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center of a heart attack.

She was born April 27, 1931 , in Vinton, daughter of Clarence and Ethel Pingenot Homing. She married Carl J. Edmonds on April 1, 1951, in Garrison. Mrs. Edmonds and her husband farmed between Garrison and La Porte City for a while.

Survived by: her husband; three sons, Roger of Vinton Jerald of Hiawatha and Kevin of Omaha, Neb.; a daughter] Sandra Thoren of Vinton; three grandchildren, a steperanddaughter and a stepgreat-grandson; two brothers, Kenneth Horning of Vinton and LeRoy Horriina of Cedar Rapidsand a sister, Karen Donnellan of Vinton.

Preceded in death by a sister, Fern Homing.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Presbyterian Church, Waterloo, with burial in Maplewood Cemetery, Vinton. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Locke Funeral Home.

Memorials may be directed to the church or the family.
