Gilman E. (Gil) White, of Marion, Wis., for many yeara a resident of Waterloo, died at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Pine Manor Rest Home near Clintonville, Wis. of cancer.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home.

He was born on October 24, 1902, the son of John N. and Maude Bradford White. He married Lavonne Svestka Sept. 24, 1931*, in Galesburg, Illinois.

He was employed at the Collord Motor Co. for 27½ years. He was a member of the Waterloo Elks Club for 24 years and was a charter member of the Marion Lions Club. He went from Waterloo to Waupaca, Wis., and operated the Chapmore Club until 1927 and later was with the Marion Body Works until the time of his death.

Surviving are his wife and one brother, William (Bob) White, 1703 Baltimore St.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

*See obit for his wife Lavonne (Svestka) White Arndt. It states she married Gilman E. White on Sept. 24, 1941, not 1931, which would have put her at age 13 and one month.
