EVANSDALE — Diana Lee Proctor, 77, of Evansdale, died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

She was born July 24, 1935, at Tripoli, daughter of LaVern Waterman and Elsbeth A. “Elsie” Spier Waterman. In 1951, she was united in marriage to Forest Dale Hickman. They later divorced. On Dec. 21, 1986, she was united to James Albert Proctor at Little Brown Church, Nashua.

She graduated from East High School in Waterloo. Mrs. Proctor worked as office manager at the YWCA, Waterloo, for about 12 years and worked as a court attendant at the Black Hawk County Courthouse for the past 15 years. She was a member of Bridge of Hope Church, Waterloo.

Survived by her husband of Evansdale; two sons, David (Chris) Hickman of Gladbrook and Dan (Tooley) Hickman of Bagley, Minn.; a daughter-in-law, Bobbie Hickman of Jesup; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a stepson, James (Sue) Proctor of Mashpee, Mass.; a stepdaughter, Lynne (Bill) Johnson of Westminster, Vt.; six stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son, Tim Hickman.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace Reformed Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery, both in Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at White Funeral Home, Jesup, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Diana will be remembered as a generous person who loved spending time with the grandchildren.
