CEDAR FALLS — Barbara G. Calease, 75, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo.

She was born Oct. 30, 1937, in Patch Grove, Wis., daughter of Carl and Gertrude Richard Finzel. She married Lyle Calease on July 29, 1966, in Springfield, Mo.

Mrs. Calease graduated from Visitation Academy, Dubuque, and was a supervisor with N.W. Bell Systems. She then worked in banking and insurance, retiring in 2009.

Survived by her husband; a son, Chad (Stacia) of Chicago; a daughter, Kelly (Travis) Bakken of Ames; two grandchildren, Stella Bakken and Daschel Calease; a brother, Bob (Joan) Finzel of Pardeeville, Wis.; six sisters: Monica (Steve) Luckritz of Hasting, Minn., Chris (Hank) Breitsprecker of Kenosha, Wis., Anita (Joe) Bruckner of Montello, Wis., Michele Finzel of Milwaukee, Wis., Julie (Ron) Schlader of Dubuque and Jill (Duey) Deutmeyer of Long Grove; a brother-in-law, Bill Telscher of Cincinnati; a sister-in-law, Nancy Finzel of Cuba City, Wis.; and a sister- and brother-in-law, Delores and Clyde Berger of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Telscher and Sally Spechtenhauser; a brother, Carl Finzel, Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Jach Spechtenhauser.

Her body has been donated to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program.

Memorials may be directed to the University of Iowa Carver College Of Medicine.
