NEW HARTFORD - Dennis Eugene Webber, of New Hartford, formerly of Waterloo and Cedar Falls, died Saturday, May 30, 2009 at his home in New Hartford.

He was born August 2, 1952, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Harry and Mary (Peyton) Webber. He graduated from Waterloo East High School and Mortuary School in San Francisco, CA. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. On January 2, 2000, he was united in marriage to Marilyn (Bentley) Mrzlak. He was a Licensed Mortician for ten years and later an owner/operator truck driver. He also was a leased driver for several trucking companies.

Survived by his wife of New Hartford, IA; mother Mary Webber of Waterloo; two sons, Shawn of Waterloo and Chris of Colorado Springs, CO; two daughters, Jessica Mrzlak of New Hartford and Lyndsey (Billy) Baham of Cedar Falls; four grandchildren; one brother, Marc (Carrie) Webber of Waterloo; three sisters, Julie (Ronnie) Niedermann of Waterloo, Susan (Kevin) Frickson of Hardy, Arkansas, and Mary Jo (Jim) Donar of Iowa City, IA.

Preceded in death by his father and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Lighthouse Fellowship Church, with interment in the Garden of Memories, both in Waterloo. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Richardson Funeral Home in Cedar Falls and also one hour prior to the services at the church.
