September 5, 1928 - September 29, 2005
Cedar Falls, Iowa

Marvin was born September 5, 1928, in Scotch Grove, Iowa, the son of Irvin Carl and Hanna (Rink) Himebaugh. He served his Country in the United States Army during 1946-1948. He then attended Midwest School of Building Trades in Bloomington, IL.

On April 2, 1951, he was united in marriage to Hazel M. Stoakes in Nashua, Iowa. She died July 4, 2004. He retired in 1990 from Prairie Construction as Director of Field Operations after 40 years of employment. He was a member of the Cedar Falls AMVETS Post #49, where he served as Past Commander.

He is survived by his son, Steven (Roberta) Himebaugh of Pleasanton, CA; daughter, Ann Marie (Terry) Sacre of Cedar Falls; four grandchildren: MacKenzie Ann Kelly, and Travis, Dustin, and Megan Himebaugh; brothers, Irv (Starla) Himebaugh of Independence, Gordon Himebaugh of Bogalusa, LA, and Rich (Helene) Himebaugh of Crystal Lake, IL; and sisters, Jean (George) Miner of Dubuque and Sue Brokaw of Kimberling City, MO.

Marvin died Thursday, September 29, 2005, at Cedar Falls Healthcare Center.

He was preceded in death by parents; wife; and two sisters, Ida Dodson and Dorothy Heyen.
