Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas Clair, 52, former Waterloo resident who died Monday at Solsville, N. Y., were conducted Thursday at the Madison, N. Y., Baptist church. Burial was in the Madison Cemetery, with committal rites conducted by the Knoxboro Grange. Mrs. Clair had been ill but a short time.

Jennie Lynde was born June 18, 1883, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of William B. and Cora Pelton Lynde.

She was married to Roy Hoover, who preceded her in death. She went in 1909 to Watervllle, N. Y., where she lived with her sister, Mrs. Bertha McLain, until 1913, when she was married to Thomas Clair, who survives.

Also surviving are her mother, Mrs. Cora Anibal; one sister, Mrs. Bertha McLain, Madison; two half-brothers, Leonard Anibal, Bouckville, N. Y., and Arvine P. Ayers, 1526 Fourth Street West, Waterloo; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Knoxboro Grange, No; 758; the ladies degree team of the Grange, the Knoxboro Home bureau; and Baptist church, Philathea class, and King's Daughters of Madison.
