SIOUX FALLS, S. D.— Edward G. (Bud) Fink, 30, former Waterloo resident and former owner of the Buddy Moore Orchestra there, was killed in a two car collision near here, early Sunday morning.

Fink, who had lived in Waterloo until last July, was driving west on Hwy. 16 when his car was struck from behind by another being driven by Alan Nelson, 29, of Parker, S. D. Fink was dead on arrival at Sioux Valley Hospital here. Nelson was hospitalized with injuries described as "serious."

The accident occurred about 3:20 a.m. Sunday, according to Ron Drummond, Minnehaha County deputy sheriff, who investigated the accident.

Fink apparently had just got off work from the Buckskin Supper Club where he was playing with a combo when the accident happened.

He had only lived here for about three weeks, being transferred here from Spencer, Iowa, by the insurance firm he worked for. Fink and owned the Buddy Moore band until a couple ofmonths ago when he sold it.

He was born October 30, 1928, in Waterloo, the son of Edward H. and Dorothy [Martin] Fink.

He was married at Worthington, Minnesota in 1954. [To Joan Wasserschleben]

Survivors include his father, 210 Linden Avenue, Waterloo, his wife, Joan, a son, Ronald, 3, two daughters, Tracy Ann, 2, and Kimberly Kay, 6 months, and a brother, Arthur, of Chicago.

An autopsy was performed Sunday and the inquest started Monday.

The body will be returned to the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home in Waterloo Tuesday where the funeral arrangements will be made.

EDWARD G. (BUD) FINK

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at the O'Keefe & Towne Funeral Home for Edward G (Bud) Fink, 30, former owner of the Buddy Moore orchestra here, who was killed Sunday in a two-car collision near Sioux Falls, S. D.

The band leader had lived in Waterloo until last July and was transferred three weeks ago to Sioux Falls from Spencer, Iowa, by the insurance company he worked for.

The body will arrive in Waterloo at midnight Wednesday. The Rev. Bruno Schlachtenhaufen, pastor of the First Lutheran Church, will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
