GILBERTVILLE — Services for Joseph H. Breitbach, 65, of Gilbertville, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, with burial in the church cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by Nugent-Demuth American Legion Post. Rosary services will be at 3, 7, and 8 p.m. Sunday at Oppold Funeral Home in Waterloo.
Mr. Breitbach died of cancer at 12:35 p.m. Friday at his home.
He was born Nov. 2, 1911, in Peosta, son of Jacob and Anna Hosch Breitbach, He was a Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a carpenter for several firms in the Waterloo area, retiring seven years ago because of illness.
Survivors include three brothers: Rev. John J. A. Breitbach of St. Ansgar, and Bernard and A.W., both of Gilbertville; and two sisters, Catherine Breitbach and Mrs. John Franta, both of Gilbertville.
