[Waterloo Daily Courier, Tuesday, May 5, 1942]

Funeral services for Orvale D. Lyon, 730 Dawson Street, who died Monday in Veterans hospital, Des Moines, will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday in the Kearns Garden chapel, in charge of Rev. C. O. Loken, pastor of Calvary Baptist church, Cedar Falls. Disabled American Veterans, of which he was a member, will hnve charge of rites at he grave in Fairview cemetery.

Lyon had served in the navy for six yenrs in addition to marine corp experience.

He was born in Ottumwa, la., Oct 28, 1886
