WATERLOO — Evelyn Rose Tonn Tegeler, 86, of Grand Forks, N.D., formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, April 12, 2013.

She was born April 25, 1926, to Paul and Emma Wenthe Tonn Sr. in Buchanan County. She married Robert “Bob” Tegeler on May 22, 1949, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Independence. He died in 2011.

She graduated from Independence High School in 1943. After graduation from Wartburg College, Waverly, she was employed at KWWL Television and Rath Inc., both in Waterloo, as an administrative assistant. She also had a brief stint as the owner of a yarn shop.

Survived by two daughters, Kathy (John) Fick of Grand Forks and Sharon (Brad) Brandsrud of Watertown, S.D.; a son, Alan (Donna Peterson) of Hope, Maine; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother; several sisters-in-law; and a brother-in-law.

Preceded in death by a sister; and three brothers.

Services: 11 a.m. April 27 at Sharon Lutheran Church, Grand Forks, preceded by a visitation at 10 a.m, with burial this summer in Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, S.D.
