WATERLOO - Clark R. Layton, 93, of Rosewood Estates, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2002, at the facility of' natural causes.

He was born Feb. 11, 1908, in Nashua, son of Leonard R.. and Olivia Clark Layton. He married Hazel Archie on Nov. 26, 1938, in Masonville. She died March 19, 1993.

Mr. Layton was employed at Iowa Public Service for 50 years, retiring in 1973. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survived by a son, Roger of Fort Collins, Colo.; and four grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Kearns, Huisman- Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until services Friday at the chapel.
