CEDAR FALLS — Gordon E. Scrivner, 69, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Nov. 15, 1996, at Sartori Memorial Hospital of cancer.

He was born Nov. 30, 1926, in Ladysmith, Wis, son of Edward and Ethel Kline Scrivner. He married Darlene "Susie" Calkins on July 15, 1946, in Ladysmith.

Mr. Scrivner served with the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. He had worked at Gjellefald Associates Construction Co, retiring in 1986

Survived by his wife; two daughters, Linda Kramer and Lou Riley, both of Cedar Falls; four grandsons; a brother, John of Bruce, Wis.

Preceded in death by a sister, Betty Gourdoux; and a brother, Donald.

Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Richardson Funeral Home, with burial in Hillside Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Cedar Falls American Legion Post 237. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the family present from 2 to 4 p.m. Visitation also from 9 a.m. until services Monday.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
