CEDAR FALLS - Kenneth G. Holms, 87, of Cedar Falls, formerly of 1821 Franklin St., died Thursday, Nov. 14, 1996, at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center of natural causes.

He was born Feb. 9, 1909, in Page County, son of Guss and Emma Warner Holms. He married Ruth Fickess Feb. 17, 1937, in Clarinda.

Mr. Holms was a machinist at Viking Pump Inc. for 29 years and also worked at Doerfer Engineering for eight years, retiring in 1973.

Survived by his wife; two daughters, Lucrettia Stuber of Waterloo and Miriam Snider of Clermont, Fla.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Hugh and Robert, both of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a grandson; and a brother, Wendall.

Memorial services 1 p.m. Monday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1930 Pleasant Valley Drive, Waterloo, with inurmment at a later date at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the hall an hour before services. Dahl-VanHove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
