CEDAR FALLS- Philip S. Collins, 64, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at the Cavanaugh House in West Des Moines.

He was born June 12, 1943, in Waterloo, son of William E. and Mary E. Stanfield Collins. He was a 1961 graduate of Waterloo West High School. Prior to retiring Phil had been employed as an operator in the powerplant for the Cedar Falls Utilities.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan (Ken) Small of North Dighton, MA, a son, Eric Collins of Columbus, OH., a daughter, Heather (Douglas) Judge of West Des Moines; five grandchildren; one brother, Stephen Collins of Townsend, GA.

Preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Collins and mother and father Mary and William "Bill" Collins.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery in Waterloo. Public visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home. Public visitation also for one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Falls Gun Club or to the Veterans Home in Marshalltown.
